SPPI Webinar: COVID-19 Vaccine Update
The Sector Pandemic Planning Initiative (SPPI) launched a webinar series titled, “Resilience, Adaptation, and Reopening” on August 13, 2020. This series is designed to help meet the unique needs of the developmental services sector as we enter the next stage of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will cover topics related to adapting and realigning our work to shifting needs and reopening safely in a dynamic environment.

The next webinar will be held on Thursday, January 14 at 12:00 p.m – 1:30 p.m. With the start of the new year, vaccines are top of mind for many as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic both at work and at home. The developmental services sector is monitoring this matter very closely and engaged in critical planning and advocacy work around vaccine distribution in our community. Please join sector leaders and public health experts for an update webinar on this work. Panelists and topics include:
- Dr. Isaac Bogoch (U of T, UHN) on the science and impact of COVID-19 vaccines
- Lorrie Heffernan (Pathways to Independence) & Bryan Keshen (Reena) on the Provincial Network’s ongoing work on vaccine distribution, education, prioritization, and human resources
